Salalah Information

Salalah is located in the Southern part of Oman, around 1000 km away from Muscat. Accessible from Muscat via road, air, or sea, Salalah is the second-largest city in the Sultanate of Oman. Positioned on the Indian Ocean coastline, it boasts unique landscapes ranging from mountainous greenery and lakes during the Khareef season to beautiful sunny beaches from September to June.

Situated within the Dhofar Governorate, Salalah has a population of approximately 429,919 (2020). The climate is generally moderate and significantly cooler during the monsoon period known locally as the “Al-khareef” season, attracting numerous visitors from across the Gulf and beyond.
