Brief about the initiative

In line with the government's policy to provide business opportunities and support for small and medium enterprises, the Salalah Free Zone and in cooperation with the associated to develop small and medium enterprises (such as the Research Council, and the National Center for business, Alraffad Fund, Youth Development Projects Fund - Sharaka, Intilaqa, Oman Arab Bank, and Bank Dhofar) they have formed a joint working group to establish a center to support and development small and medium business opportunities in the free zone in Salalah, where the center will reclaiming new and innovative business based on the current and future investments in SFZ, and put it to the citizens to capitalize on opportunities center.

Establish a support base for small and medium enterprises based on current and future investments in the Salalah Free Zone, in line with the government’s policy to support the development of small and medium enterprises and provide job opportunities for Nationals.

Initiative Objective

  • Extracting new and innovative business opportunities based on current and future investments in the Salalah Free Zone, and offering them to Omani to benefit
  • New business opportunities are managed by Omani youth.
  • Providing consulting support for business opportunities by specialized experts, training, supervision and necessary follow-up.
  • Provide one stop service
  • Seek to reduce the import of (raw materials, goods or services) to the free zone in particular and the governorate in general by creating or establishing small and medium companies that provide these products or services
