Carmeuse is a leading global producer of lime, high calcium limestone and dolomitic stone dedicated to many different uses. The company is present across Western Europe, North America and Africa. The deal with the Salalah Free Zone will see the company mine limestone for its use in steel, aluminium and other building materials to be used throughout the Middle East and Subcontinent.

Salalah Methanol was founded in 2006 as a subsidiary of Oman Oil. The company is Oman's largest Methanol producer. It dedicates much of its output to the local market for the development of downstream industries especially in Salalah, while it has several international customers. Oman's Saltic FZCO is a company that is planning to build a major caustic soda and ethylene dichloride (EDC) complex in Salalah Free Zone (SFZ). It is scheduled to come on stream in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Associated Industries Limited (Hind Aluminum) The Associated Group of companies began operations in 1973 and has several manufacturing units, one of them being Hind Aluminum which has set up operations in SFZ for the production of EC Wire Rods used for redrawing into wires or strips for the manufacturing of cables, and the production of Aluminum Conductors.
