Eng. Awadh Al-Shanfari – Chief Executive Officer
Since late 2007 till date Eng. Awadh has been leading the team in Salalah Free Zone company. Before that he was holding the position of General Manager at Salalah Port Services (SPS) prior to that he headed the Commercial Department at the same organization (SPS) from 1999 till 2002. Awadh started his career in the oil and gas industry, a career that lasted 15 years where he was associated with major oil and gas companies in Oman in various posts. He has solid administrative and technical experience which exceeds his practical experience years supported by numerous academic, technical and administrative degrees. He is a holder of a BS.C in Petroleum Engineering.
Ali Tabook – Deputy Chief Executive Officer Commercial
Ali Tabouk holds an MBA and a BS.c in Business Administration. He has over 15 years of experience in industries such as hospitality, Logistics and Shipping. He is a well trained professional in investment consultancy, corporate solutions, sales and marketing, customer services, Public Relations and community relations, leadership, personnel Developments and management with innovation and business thinking. He has plenty of experience in GCC, Europe and the Asian Markets, and has an excellent net work of investment and financing houses. Ali joined SFZCo as Commercial Manager after serving the same role for The Port of Salalah for 6 years; he was in-charge of all leases, agreements and selling the port services. He also played key role in the establishment of many business opportunities in the country i.e. 55 million USD projects and business opportunities.
Eng. Nabil Wahidi -Director General of Planing & Projects Department
With more than 29 years of extensive experience in the fields of design & engineering, construction supervision activities, management, quality assurance & control, promotion, recruitment, and public relations. Prior to joining Salalah Free Zone Company worked with Associated Consulting Engineers (ACE) and Smart Engineering and Transport Systems (SETS) as Director of the Board, Head of Design, Head of Transport Department, Quality Manager, Project Manager, and coordinator on projects in Lebanon and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the American University of Beirut since 1984.
Ram Santhanam – Chief Finance Officer
Ram Santhanam is a first class graduate in commerce and holds a degree in Law, professionally qualified as Charted Accountant having passed since 1982. His professional experience spreads over a period of 27 years having worked in various senior positions with multinational leading companies around the globe. In addition to India he has worked in Malaysia, Singapore, Nigeria, UAE and UK prior to joining SFZCo. He has extensive experience in matters relating to Finance, Budgetary Control, Accounts, Management Information Systems, Project Management and Legal Consultancies. He joined SFZCo as Finance Controller in 2006 looking after matters relating to Accounts, Finance and Legal. He holds the position of secretary to the Audit Committee.
Hussam Hosny Elgammal - Information & Communication Technology Department Manager
Eng. Hussam holds a BS.c in Electronics and Communications Engineering and is a certified IT Service Manager; currently he is preparing his MBA in Technology Management. He has over 15 years of Information Technology experience out of which 6 he spent in the oil and gas industry as a Sr. Engineer and Section Operations Manager. He joined SFZCo in April 2008 as Head of the Information Technology Department.
Dr. Ahmed Rushdie - Senior Manager for Quality and Occupational Health and Safety, Security and Environment
Dr. Ahmad Rushdi holds a PhD degree from Australia in Environmental Engineering and B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering. His professional experience spreads over a period of 15 years having worked in various senior positions with multinational leading companies & research institutes around the globe.
In addition to UAE; he has worked in Australia, Denmark, KSA, Qatar and India prior to joining SFZCo as QHSSE Senior Manager in 2012. He has extensive experience in matters relating to Environmental compliance & protection, Waste management & control, Occupational Health & Safety, Quality control & assurance, Security systems, Green building rating systems, Sustainable materials supply chain and last but not least the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)."
